In today’s digital world, a great church website design is absolutely critical in promoting and building a healthy church. Your website is the first impression that you give off to the world, and it is how you build trust and interest that eventually turns into a visit on a Sunday morning.

There are many great companies out there nowadays that provide amazing tools for churches to accomplish their website goals. Gone are the days of paying massive amounts for custom coded sites or scratching your head trying to figure out a WordPress plugin. With a church-specific website company, you have a ministry partner that will help you grow and leverage your online tools properly.

Church Website Designs by Omega Platform

MinistryDesigns.com is one church website company that provides the tech tools to help you get new visitors every single week. Their flagship church website builder called Omega was recently recommended by Worship Leader Magazine. Omega functionality includes customizability, mobile responsiveness, and a very large page and block library where you can download fully designed pages directly to your website. In this article we will take a look at some real life church websites built on the Omega platform by Ministry Designs.

10 Varied Church Website Designs Using the Omega Platform

1. Joliet First Assembly

Joliet First Assembly’s website is a perfect example of taking full advantage Omega’s suite of design tools. For example, you’ll notice the church used dynamic photography and video along with creative use of backgrounds and icons. As a result, they are able to create an interesting but still modern-looking website.

2. New Life Church

New Life Church uses one of the many designs inside Omega’s Theme Library to create a very unique look for their website. The floating blocks on the left of the page do well to highlight important information for a new visitor like service times and children’s ministry, and the images on the right highlight upcoming events and messages.

3. Kingdom Life Church

Similar to New Life Church, Kingdom life goes with the floating blocks style but in a different layout. Notably, this church website also has a Text in Church Smart Connect Card on their home page to encourage interaction and a Plan Your Visit invitation.

4. New Life Rehoboth

New Life Rehoboth is an incredible example of the fact that you do not have to be a big church to have an amazing website. A church in The Bronx, NY, New Life's site is extremely open and welcoming. Bright colors, smiling faces, and great calls to action make their site wonderful. Also, using Omega’s SEO tools they were able to rank their website on the first page of Google for the term, “Church in the Bronx” (Test it out!).

5. Vivid Church

When I look at Vivid Church’s website I notice two things: a clean minimalistic design and phenomenal photography. Vivid was able to use Omega’s blocks as a starting point but made it their own by adding great photography, cool logo design, and a minimalist color palette. In addition, they have a great FAQ section at the bottom of their page for new visitors.

Have great photos? If you have access to beautiful photographs of your church body and worship experience, consider going with a minimalist church website. Combine with a subtle color palette and let the photos do the talking. Click To Tweet

6. South CLT Pres Church

If I had to use one word to describe South CLT Pres’s website, it would be “smooth”. First, note the consistency of color and fonts. Next, when mixed with the clean white background and transitions from section to section, this layout creates a page with great flow. They also added some Why Your Website Needs a Plan Your Visit Option (churchtechtoday.com), along with a soft branded green overlay on their images using the advanced image widget.

7. Church on a Mission

Church on a Mission is the ultimate example of how to incite engagement from a new visitor. Everything on their page screams “Plan a Visit” in a fun, inviting way:

  • To start, their header video walks you through the process of a Sunday morning experience.
  • They have great photography and information on important things like kids ministry.
  • Finally, the site features a welcome video right on the home page featuring Pastor Ryan Keller and his family.

When it comes to converting website visitors to Sunday morning attendees, this is a masterpiece.

Trinity Lutheran Church sets itself apart by creating a classic feel with a modern design. I absolutely love the custom font, and their use of color really makes the page feel alive. They were able to use the Omega pre-designed blocks to create sections that really felt unique and built one heck of a church website.

Another small church that has a great church website is Christ Alive Church. Not only did they use the Omega builder to create a great online hub for their members and guests, but they make it easy for visitors to navigate. At the top of the screen above the fold they have two buttons, one for new visitors and one to engage and watch live. Having clear, concise calls to action on your home page is so important to a successful church website.

10. Alive Wesleyan

Alive Wesleyan does a great job of giving the visitor an understanding of their church culture instantly with their header video. It is welcoming and fun, and builds excitement about going to church.

That being said, my favorite page on this website is the sermons page. Specifically, Alive Wesleyan provides some cool options for how to engage with their sermons. By offering their podcast to listen to, along with a cool organization of sermon videos, they have a great library of content.
